U.S. Department of Defense Announces Latest Contract Awards

CONTRACTS: NAVY
GE Inspection Technologies LP, Skaneateles, N.Y., is being awarded a $22,679,613 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of up to 1,600 common video borescope sets (CVBS), including associated technical and logistics data and training.  The CVBS is used to inspect interior engine components and airframes for cracks, foreign object damage, and corrosion.  Work will be performed in Skaneateles, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in October 2015.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals; three offers were received.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J. is the contracting activity (N68335-10-D-0005).
