UPDATE SOS Call for Help From Fellow Veteran

Just an update.

WE a few Desert Storm and Vietnam veterans did not just ignore a comment to a posted story but did all they could to get in touch.  SPC Dennis we hope and pray you are okay and will contact us  [email protected].

It was one of those in the middle of the night and wee hours efforts.  I want to thank Gordon Duff for the research he did and the finding the IP code location where the message came from.  I want to thank Maj retired Rokke that helped me with trying thru the Pentagon and DOD contacts to find records of gulf war 2/5 cav to try to find SPC Dennis.  Although DOD really did not have what was needed to get anywhere.

I want to thank the VA Hotline Suicide line that once we rattled their numbers they did respond all the way to Cleveland VA.  I want to thank those supervisors I talked to at the VA suicide hotline MS Donna and an active duty AF CMSGT that is working the hot line as a supervisor.  Thank you!  NOW DEBRIEF and lets improve more!

Lessons Learned!To update our readers: efforts were made to find SPC Dennis:…calls were made to VA suicide hot line , VA hospital Cleveland, Ohio, to DOD at the pentagon, Army Watch at the Pentagon, and every resource we could find to help us in reaching out to SPC Dennis.  The word we have is VA was successful in finding SPC Dennis and has sent out someone to make contact.  WE veterans stick together and provide the essential safety net as much as we can!  WE rattle cages of those agencies that should be doing the job!  The important lesson here is we need to build this veteran network stronger!  WE do care about each other! AND Veterans we are a chain of survivors, we will respond, we urge veterans do not give up the WAR AFTER THE WAR!
