By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

Lord only know, I like Chuck Norris, his films, his TV shows and even his hokey infomercials.  As one of the real people Norris pretends to be in his movies, he can be inspiring, if not massively overstated.

As a Vietnam War combat vet, I love being portrayed in overblown Hollywood style.  However, when it comes to having Norris use his status as a "Vietnam Era" Air Force vet to spout crazy conspiracy mumbo jumbo, someone, please get this man some help.  His last article in the extremist WorldNetDaily is simply sick.

Its one thing complaining that global warming isn’t real.  I freeze myself to death every winter here in Ohio.  Its quite something else to claim that global warming treaties or health care reform is part of an international plot to invade the United States and put us all in concentration camps.

Norris has gone over the edge entirely.  Is it so important to suck up to the insurance or nuclear power/coal industry, the big money boys for  the national lie machine that someone like Norris should lower himself to being a "sub-Limbaugh" fear monger?

Chuck NorrisThese are his opening words:

"Halloween just got scarier – much scarier. I’m not talking about a new Hollywood slasher film or a new line of grotesque costumes, but a possible political nightmare scenario in which the White House could be positioned to sell out U.S. sovereignty, shred the Constitution and leave you and yours to the whims of foreign powers."
If this sounds odd, this was the sensible part.  He drones on about how Obama is planning to turn America over to armies of third world (colored people) secret police who plan to take our guns, get us all vaccinated against our will and make us turn Catholic or Jewish or both, I can’t remember which.
Where does a man get this kind of moral authority?  Well, Norris claims to be a minister of some kind but mostly, if you want to save America, simply send him money and buy his book.
Here is the moronic plug for his book:
I’ve been so flabbergasted lately by Washington’s abandonment of our founder’s vision and principles that I expanded (to more than 300 pages) the new paperback version of my No. 14 New York Times best-seller, "Black Belt Patriotism" (available in Jan. 2010). It includes new materials in every chapter explaining how, in just one year, the Obama administration has progressively dismantled our Constitution, buried our economy, forsaken our posterity, disintegrated our borders, abandoned our godly heritage, impaled the traditional family and crippled America’s health and future. (Amended are also copies of the Ten Commandments, the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.)
If you aren’t scared enough or "flabbergasted"…does anyone really talk like that…you can hear Norris rant on about Obama and his Communist conspiracy to destroy the ten commandments and Declaration of Independence and replace them with the Communist Manifesto.
duffsterAs a veteran and someone who has fought for his country, I couldn’t be more disappointed in any single individual more than I am in Norris.  Crazy beliefs are fine, this is why we have a First Amendment, but childish fear mongering for a quick buck is inexcusable.
