COMMUNIST TACTICS USED TO COVER LAND SCAM

I attended two protests at the West Los Angeles VA, one in August and one in October. At both protests, the American flag was flown upside down. In August, we drew a crowd of 40, while in October we only had 14. We peacefully marched on the sidewalk with our signs or flags while passing motorists sounded their horns in solidarity. My sign simply read, “Veterans Land for Veterans Use.” I stayed two and a half hours at each protest before leaving.
We were not doing anything except exercising our freedom of speech and assembly by peacefully protesting the land grab by the VA. Slowly taking the Veteran’s land and leasing it out to various corporations is shameful and we were pointing this out to the public.
It saddens me to see Mr. Rosebrock singled out for his efforts in bringing this issue to the forefront. The Department of Justice is simply trying to keep us from continuing to show up Sunday after Sunday protesting the outright deceit and underhandedness of the VA in giving the land away. The DOJ hopes that by instilling the fear of being arrested and hauled into Federal Court, we will stop protesting and give up.
I say, “Bring it on” against every protester who has shown up since we started some 80 Sundays ago. Let’s fill up Judge Mumm’s Court. Get mainline media to cover the event. CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, and NBC are all invited in addition to right wing radio personalities such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly and Shaun Hannity.
We need to discuss the ramifications of taking the land from the veterans and the subsequent harassment of veterans and their family and friends by the government. When all of us are packed into Judge Mumm’s Court, (the elderly, frail veterans from WWII and Korea, the Vietnam vets who have been dumped on and denied benefits for years, and now the Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who don’t know the years of denials waiting for them as they apply for benefits), we will tell our side of the story.
Bring in US Deputy Attorney Sharon McCaslin. Let her present the case against us. We need to bring the VA and the DOJ out of the shadows. They know who we are. During my October protest, a guy walked by me in a white shirt and tie talking into an ear piece saying, “they’re just some protesters holding signs.” We knew they were watching. We aren’t dumb.
When did the United States turn into Russia? Isn’t this what the KGB used to do? Isn’t this in George Orwell’s book 1984?
My father spent four and a half years in the Army in WWII to rid the world of tyrants. Hitler, Mussolini and Hito were trying to conquer the world. He went to war to protect my freedoms. As an American, one of my rights is freedom of speech. I am glad he isn’t alive to see the government stripping them away one at a time.
