GULF WAR ILLNESS IN COMPARISON

A little comparison here with another well known Retrovirus ie AIDS

AIDS number in US 1.1mil- Funding for AIDS in US (Does not count government or nonprofit funding from the US to other countries!)

CDC HIV/AIDS Funding $534,987,079 HOPWA Funding $267,417,000 SAMHSA HIV/AIDS Funding $104,321,529 OMH HIV/AIDS Funding $7,282,493
Ryan White Program Funding $2,079,021,520 Total $2,993,029,621

RECENT Funding for next year for DOD CDMRP for Gulf War Illness Research 8 million.  Funding from VA re 15 mil times 5 years for VA Collaborative Center at UTSW Medical Center in Dallas was killed as it started its third year.

Gulf War Veterans that served in theater 696,842…claims submitted by this group alone based on year ago was 278,713.  This does not include Gulf War Era veterans that received immunization and secondary exposures from equipment returning from overseas and personnel.  Nor does it include those that are reporting GWS symptoms since the gulf war!  Nor does it include 1 million civilians in the US, at least, that suffer from CFS/ME.

I ASK YOU DOES THIS SHOW YOU WHERE THE GULF WAR VETERANS HEALTH RESEARCH FALLS?
