In today’s New York Times there is an Op Ed article entitled Yes, It Was Torture, and Illegal that pretty much sums it up. The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to rule on the case before it showing torture of foreign prisoners in U.S. custody as a result of war. This weakens our legal system and turns the rule of law on its head.
Are we a nation of law anymore? Justice is being crushed to death here. The ramifications of this are deadly. So now we can torture freely? We will regret this politicization of American law to protect a GOP administration. Mark my words.
