CIA Bomber Was No Double Agent, Say Jordanians – Time Magazine online

Time Magazine online is running a story today entitled CIA Bomber Was No Double Agent, Say Jordanians .

In a related story from Time we read Obama’s Dilemma: What to Do With Yemenis in Gitmo .

And another story from the same publication entitled New Gitmo Proposal Draws Wide Range of Critics shows just how messy a situation we have been left with since we picked up people in the Middle East and apparently have now radicalized them beyond reach if in fact they were not terrorists when we had them incarcerated in Cuba.

Here is another story from the Guantanamo mess that we’ve created for ourselves entitled Surviving Guantánamo: A Prisoner’s Tale .

And from the Associated Press we have this story entitled Obama releasing details of airline terror foul-ups .

There is no doubt that terrorism exists and that we have to deal with it.

But once we take it out of a law enforcement paradigm and place it inside of a national defense paradigm we have placed ourselves onto a war footing and it is proving very difficult to back down from that.

All the expense, all the collateral damage, all the death that war entails now maginifies the initial damage caused to us on 9/11.  We may very well be doing the work of terrorists for them with our reaction to 9/11.

It is worth it?  Or should we place this entire situation back to where it should have remained in the first place, that is, with the intelligence community and Interpol?
