In tonight’s edition of the Washington Post we find that Senators Joe Lieberman (I) and John McCain (R) and a pack of Republican senators have paid a visit to Pakistan.  They met with the government and with the press.  They impressed neither and had to field uncomfortable questions about our use of drones in their country.

The story is entitled Senators’ visit to Pakistan highlights tensions between anti-terrorist allies .  It seems from what we read here that we have very different views on the ethics of using drones relative to those of the Pakistanis.  We had better get this issue of using drones locked down quickly.  The Pakistanis are losing patience with us and I am not real sure that the killings help cement our relationship with them.
