THANKS FOR YOUR LOYALTY AND PARTICIPATION

By Gordon Duff Senior Editor (speaking for the editorial and writing staff of VT)

I want to thank the readers at VT, many of whom have become writers or contributors.  Without inspiration, “leaks” and the strong challenges thrown at us, we wouldn’t be where we are today.  Where we have come in the last few years has been as much a credit to our readers as our staff.  Many names you never see contribute on a daily, some even an hourly basis.  Veterans groups, pilots associations, 9/11 groups, political parties in a dozen or more countries along with hundreds of retired enlisted, officer and “civilian” sources for both intelligence and analysis have made us more than we could ever be.

This is a volunteer site, run by an editorial board and managing editors who work with a writing staff of nearly 4 dozen including some of the top military analysts and veterans advocates in the country.

We have become a group opposed to war run by people who know war and know how to play it to win.

As we have changed format and will continue to do so until we settle in with what we hope our readers will want and demand on a daily basis, we will continue going thru changes.  Please be patient with us during this period of transition.

We have greatly expanded our writing staff into Pakistan and now Afghanistan.  We hope to add more areas with even more opinion from the EU, DR. North, Robbie the Pict (yes that is his real name) and many others keep us on our toes.

At times you are going to feel challenged, occasionally insulted and abused but we hope you will come out swinging with energy and ideas.  We have had so much of that lately, much of it from India and Pakistan.  We appreciate everything we are receiving.

We know we have many readers in government, the military and the intelligence services.  It is no secret that we have been a source for intelligence leaks for some time.  We also make sure nothing that hits the net can endanger any of the troops in the field.  Problem is, of course, some of our material comes from troops in the field that are, technically, “the enemy.”

What I do want to do is thank all of you who have made the last few weeks an exciting time.  We know who many of our readers are and appreciate the incredible information included in SOME of our comments.  The threats are fun also, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Gordon Duff

Senor Editor/VT for our Editors and Writers and many more
