The Washington Post is reporting this evening that Republican operatives got caught – again – trying to bug Democratic Party offices. This time they were the offices of Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. All four operatives are in custody and could face up to ten years in prison and a fine of $250K each.
This is the same group that videotaped incidents in the ACORN office last year. The piece is entitled ACORN foe arrested by FBI in plot to bug Landrieu’s office . James O’Keefe was the ringleader of that video sting and was also personally involved in this fiasco. He is presently in custody.
Can I give a little advice to my Republican friends relative to placing bugs in Democratic offices? Bribe somebody in the Democratic Party to do it for you. Don’t try and place the listening devices yourselves. You never get it right.
This is downright embarrassing. You guys are now 0 for 2.
