Time Magazine online today is posting a piece entitled Obama and Counterterrorism: The Debate Moves Right . That pretty much says it all. It seems that Americans are much more secure with a sort of George W. Bush view of terrorism and our response to it than with any view previously espoused by the American Left. Like it or not, that is the political reality here now and Obama and his administration is adjusting.
Relative to this “War on Terror” that I have never been able to adequately identify as real, we are moving right very quickly. The things Democrats will do in an election year!
I don’t like my American political leaders moving toward fascism under any circumstances. But apparently, I stand in a very thin crowd of people.
