  6. There are numerous assassination threats on Twitter today.
  7. A radical pastor has called for death prayers for health care bill supporters

This stuff is toxic, out of control, criminal, and a threat to our national security.  No reasonable American can be for criminal activity and it must stop now.

We call on all reasonable political leaders on all sides to stand firm against domestic political terrorism.

Specifically, we call on former U.S. Presidents George W. Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter to stand together and denounce domestic political terrorism and encourage those who are angry to express their views in protest within the law and then to vote this November.

Moreover, we call on current leaders in the Congress to do the same namely Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. John Boehner,  Sen. Harry Reid and Sen. Mitch McConnell.

VT recognizes that many of its readers are of many parties including but not limited to Republicans and Democrats and have many differing points of view.  We encourage all points of view and ask all to be civil and decent in presenting those views.   In line with proper decorem and policy, any domestic political terrorism and threats made on this site  are absolutely not acceptable and will be reported to the authorities promptly.
