America Needs to Wake Up!

American Dreams Could Become Nightmares

The Dream Act is in the House and now the Senate.  What are our legislators doing?  We have problems with our deficits, jobs, taxes and we have the congress trying to sneak in and do an immigration bill. 

This bill is not just to give young people that are in our country illegally a path to citizenship but a bill that opens the door to even more immigration.  When our country is struggling to meet the needs to care for its own citizens, no thought is being given to how do we care for more illegal immigrants thatalready has impacted our health care, education, and yet the job system too! 

Look at the trouble California is already having meeting that state’s needs that have a large population of illegals.  This bill the Dream Act needs to be Tabled completely, this bill would just be an ad for more illegals to flood into our country at a critical moment in our history.

America, wake up!  I shake my head at what is going on in our own country and around the world.  This country needs to get its priority straight!

WE have a jobs problem like we have not seen since World War II.  That job situation would be worse if we had all our brave troops home from overseas trying to find jobs.  We have American families trying desperately to meet their children’s desire to go to higher education and the college tuition keeps increasing.  While these same adult children try to hold scarce jobs to help pay for that same higher education.  Our education system is already in a crisis situation with standards failing across this country.  Our own educators are overloaded and facing budget problems in our schools already! 

Our health care system is under attack from illegals getting care and we Americans having to pay more because illegals can not pay so we pay for them too.  We middle class are being attacked from every direction.  The older Americans are faced with higher retirement age and their savings being whittled down or destroyed so they are having to delay retirement.

While the congress has not even passed the bills to fund our own government in an orderly fashion with debate and normal order they are buzy in DC dealing with changes to food safety and control of food supply and now a hidden immigration bill being stuck in at the last hour of the session under the guise of the Dream Act! 

Our country has the highest deficit in history, the worse job reports since World War II, and the list goes on and on.  To me it seems like the old history nightmare of Roman burning while the fiddler played?
