Public Health Solutions have become the newest addition to the Hire Veterans online military job board.  They have decided to actively pursue our military veterans in an attempt to add more diversity to their already growing work force.
Public Health Solutions is a nonprofit organization that is based in New York City, NY.  The organization was founded over 50 years ago, and has been dedicated to using their research to illuminate critical public health issues and to design, implement and assess effective methods for preventing disease and improving health in New York City and beyond.
Public Health Solutions was founded in 1957 with strong roots in scientific research.  The original name of the organization when founded was Medical and Health Research Association of New York City.  They were founded in order to enable the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and other health organizations to conduct health research to inform their work.  Their leadership soon realized that there was a need to build upon this foundation of rigorous scientific research in order to link research and practice in dynamic ways to directly improve the health of communities and the people most at-risk.
Public Health Solutions works with government agencies and other nonprofit organizations by providing them with services which enable them to enhance their effectiveness and strengthen their capacity to have an impact and efficiently manage funds.  Some of their many programs addressing critical public health need’s are maternal and child health, nutrition, access to health insurance, HIV prevention and care, and smoking cessation.
Public Health Solutions is currently opening their doors and offering careers to our military veterans by posting jobs with Hire Veterans.  They are looking for a wide array of skills and expertise in order to continue building their staff of knowledgeable and dedicated workers.  They currently have positions available in both their central office and at many of their project sites.  To see a list of their available positions, please visit Hire Veterans.  These jobs continually change as they are filled and new jobs become available, so please check back from time to time.
