Here’s Today’s Department of Defense Contract Awards

 

MISSLE DEFENSE AGENCY

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is announcing the award of a modification to the Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., (LMSSC), Sunnyvale, Calif., at a total value of $150,000,000.  This contract modification will be funded with fiscal 2010, 2011, and 2012 procurement dollars.  Fiscal 2010 funds in the amount of $10,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This action is firm-fixed price.  This award is made under the existing Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) production contract HQ0147-07-C-0196.  This modification is for Lots 3 and 4 in the continuing production of THAAD batteries.  It includes the manufacturing and delivery of Battery 5 launchers, THAAD fire control and communications, peculiar support equipment and the fielding of additional launchers for Batteries 1 and 2.  Deliveries will begin in fiscal 2014 and complete in fiscal 2016.  This work will be managed in Sunnyvale, Calif., with performance in Huntsville, Ala., and Camden, Ark.  The MDA, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

ATA Aerospace L.L.C., of Albuquerque N.M., (FA9453-12-D-0285) is being awarded a $100,000,000 indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicle’s Directorate, Integrated Experiments and Evaluation Division with the required research, engineering, technical, and program management to perform aerospace technology research, analysis, integration, and test and evaluation to execute Air Force research.  The locations of the performance are Kirtland Air Force Base, and Holloman Air Force Base N.M.  Work is to be completed by July 31, 2017.  The contracting activity is the Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Contracting Division, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.

ARMY

Icenogle Construction Management Inc., San Francisco, Calif., (W91238-12-D-0010); TriEco TT Sustainable Resources JV, San Diego, Calif., (W91238-12-D-0011); Earthworks/Mortenson Joint Venture, Red Lake, Minn., (W91238-12-D-0012); Solar Power Integrators, Roseville, Calif., (W91238-12-D-0013); Synergy Electric, Santee, Calif., (W91238-12-D-0014); and Tri-Technic Inc., Sonora, Calif., (W9138-12-D-0015); were awarded a $49,000,000 firm-fixed-price multiple-award-task-order contract.  The award will provide for the construction of solar and wind power plants at bases within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Pacific District.  Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of July 12, 2015.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 24 bids received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity.

CMS TotTest JV, Bargersville, Ind., (W912BV-12-D-0011); ARGO Systems L.L.C., Hanover, Md., (W912BV-12-D-0012); JSR-ECC L.L.C., Schertz, Texas, (W912BV-12-D-0013); Luevano Hart/Burns and McDonnell JV, Kansas City, Mo., (W912BV-12-D-0014); and Southwind Construction Services L.L.C., Edmond, Okla., (W912BV-12-D-0015); were awarded a $49,000,000 firm-fixed-price multiple-award-task-order contract.  The award will provide for the construction of renewable energy, energy conservation and mechanical and electrical projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Western District.  Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of July 12, 2015.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 21 bids received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla., is the contracting activity.

DRS Tactical Systems, Melbourne, Fla., was awarded a $21,987,288 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the design, development and integration services in support of the M777A2 digital fire control system.  Work will be performed in Melbourne, with an estimated completion date of July 13, 2017.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with six bids received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-12-D-0088).

K and S Associates Inc., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded a $16,658,000 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the construction of an Army Reserve Center in St. Charles, Mo.  Work will be performed in St. Charles, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2013.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 12 bids received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (W912QR-12-C-0044).

Cutting Edge Concrete Services Inc., Oro Grande, Calif., was awarded an $11,714,086 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the construction of a 15,000-square-yard parking apron for the F-22 combat aircraft.  Work will be performed in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, with an estimated completion date of July 31, 2013.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with five bids received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (W9128A-12-C-0007).

DAWSON-ZAPATA JV L.L.C., Honolulu, Hawaii, was awarded a $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the military munitions response services and other explosive related services.  Work will be performed in Honolulu, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 12, 2016.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (W912DY-12-D-0049).

EADS North America Inc., Herndon, Va., was awarded a $9,706,114 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the engineering support services.  Work will be performed in Columbus, Miss., with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2016.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-06-C-0194).

Meta Materials Inc., Austin, Texas, was awarded an $8,766,403 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  The award will provide for the development and testing services in support of radio frequency antennas on military vehicles.  Work will be performed in Austin, with an estimated completion date of July 11, 2015.  The bid was solicited through the Internet, with nine bids received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Adelphi, Md., is the contracting activity (W911QX-12-D-0005).

The Boeing Co., Ridley Park, Penn., was awarded a $6,832,402 firm-fixed-price contract.  The award will provide for the overhaul services in support of the Chinook aft and forward rotary blades.  Work will be performed in Ridley Park, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2014.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-11-C-0126).

NAVY

Rockwell Collins, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $13,919,215 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0069) to exercise an option for AN/ARC-210(V) electronic radio and ancillary equipment for the Air Force.  The modification provides for the following quantities: (50) C-12719/ARC control, radio set, (50) AM-7526/ARC high power amplifier, (50) MX-11641/ARC LNA diplexer and (135) RT-1939(C)/ARC receiver-transmitter.  The work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed in February 2014.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

MZA Associates Corp.*, Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a $9,787,624 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research project under topic N091-009, entitled “Tactical Beam Director for Airborne High Energy Laser Applications.”  This contract provides for the finalized design for the MH-60S helicopter beam director and beam control system, fabrication of all components, and integration into a high-power beam director and beam control system.  Work will be performed in Albuquerque, N.M., and is expected to be completed in July 2017.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68936-12-D-0023). 

Lockheed Martin Gyrocam Systems L.L.C., Sarasota, Fla., is being awarded $9,539,083 for delivery order #0002 under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (M67854-12-D-5504) to provide Field Service Representatives (FSRs) in support of the vehicle optic surveillance system program.  Work will be performed outside the continental United States in theater, and work is expected to be completed June 2013.  Contract funds in the amount of $9,539,083 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, Sept. 30, 2012.  This contract was competitively awarded in accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(1).  Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
