The company was founded in 1983 by the late Knut Aarsand, with his son Kurt Aarsand, its president and daughter Krista Aarsand Bedford, vice president. Beginning with one KFC Restaurant in Havre de Grace, MD, Aarsand Management has grown to include a total of 59 restaurants located in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Today, the company employs more than 1,400 full and part-time crew members. This impressive 27-year growth includes 41 Taco Bell locations, 8 KFC locations, 6 KFC / Taco Bell combination restaurants, and 4 Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut combination restaurants with sales reaching $60 million in 2009.
