Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel promised changes would soon deliver the medical records faster. Roughly 900,000 VA claims are pending
Hagel said he’d update Congress within 30 days.
Guantanamo Bay continues to fester
Commanders at the detention center in Cuba, where suspected terrorists are housed, defended a raid that injured two guards and five prisoners.
Officials said they acted because prisoners had covered surveillance cameras.
A hunger strike that began there in February has grown to more than 50 prisoners. Some of being forced fed.
