Law School Honors Military Veterans with Honoratos Emeritus Scholarship

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 26, 2013 – Campbell Law School has announced the establishment of the Honoratos Emeritus Scholarship which will award any qualified veteran offered admission to the law school an annual $15,000 renewable scholarship. For veterans that reside in North Carolina, when combined with the G.I. Bill, the Honoratos Emeritus Scholarship amounts to a full-tuition scholarship.
Earlier this month, Campbell University was named to the coveted Military Friendly Schools list, which honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to support U.S. military service members, veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. The military friendly designation, along with the Honoratos Emeritus Scholarship, signifies the continued commitment of Campbell University and its law school to the military community.
QUOTE:
“Matriculating veterans has comprised an essential part of the Campbell Law community throughout our history, and they have traditionally performed very well in the classroom and on the bar exam,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “It is our hope that this new scholarship will provide an additional incentive for veterans interested in a legal education to join our community.”
