The company has multiple IMMEDIATE openings for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators, Concrete Form work Lead Person/Foreman, Trench Laborers, and Project Engineers.

Concrete Form Setter – Sweeney Excavation Inc is a growing construction company with a Concrete Foundation Division which currently has openings for concrete form setters. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position within the concrete foundation trade. Applicant must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the construction of steel reinforcement, concrete foundations etc.
Project Manager –  Candidates must be experienced with Project Management Software. Also must have experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations etc. Applicants will need to have understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must be capable of monitoring and assessing your performance as well as other individuals and sub contractors to make improvements or take corrective action.
Site Superintendent – Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years experience in a similar position within the excavation trade. Applicant must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations etc. Applicant will be required to be reliable, responsible, dependable, and have a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
Skilled Trench Laborer – 5+ years experience in a skilled Trench Labor role, 80% to 100% of the time during your employment, in a site development capacity. Familiarity with installation of sewer, water, and storm drainage systems. Plumbing licenses a plus but not a requirement. Must be at least 21 with a Valid Driver’s License and have own transportation. Must be able to demonstrate clear ability and experience regarding the practice of workplace safety. Must be familiar with recognizing site hazards and have a clear understanding of trench safety.
Heavy Equipment Operator – Proficiently operate any or all of our core heavy equipment, including Bulldozers, Pay loaders, Excavators, Articulated Trucks, and Rock Crushing Equipment. Comply with the Operations and Maintenance guidelines for all Heavy Equipment. Perform a daily heavy equipment walk-around inspection and preventive maintenance responsibilities. Perform job responsibilities safely in a busy, sometimes stressful environment. Operate equipment productively, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions. Perform tasks that have to do with site development/heavy equipment operations as assigned or directed by the Supervisor or General Manager.
