Are you thinking about investing your money in a shelf company or in a shelf corporation? As the name suggests, these companies came into existence some years ago and are now placed on a shelf. Many of these companies may be out of business. Some of them may still be working. But why do people look for shelf companies for sale?

Just imagine you want to apply for a contract which can only be applied through a company which is older than five years. Well, you buy a shelf company related to that particular contract. Whether you make a profit or loss through the work done by your new company is up to you and the effort you put in its management and working. Also, people who cannot get access to bank credit when they start up new companies,  buy shelf companies with a good credit background.
There are some points to note, before you decide to buy a shelf company. There are many law firms, and even scams, which promise you the company you want. So how do you recognize a scam? Any company which is promising you a lot of money, without the necessity of a personal guarantee means that there is something wrong with their line of credit. If a shelf company has an already established credit line or file on record, it should not cost you more than USD3000. Shelf companies overseas, like in Singapore are even cheaper.
What do people providing shelf companies do? They acquire companies which have gone bankrupt, for as low as hundred dollars – polish them up a bit sell them for around USD3000. High Profit all around!
One would suggest checking up the credit rating of a company you wish to buy. Talk to its previous owners. Ask them if they are willing to transfer the company to you. You can then take on your new business from there. You will need to invest a little bit of money in getting the full credit reports of the companies in which you are interested, but it is worth it in the long run, especially if the company had a good market standing, but went out of business due to the global economic situation.
So now you know all about shelf companies for sale and whether it is worthwhile investing your money and your time in buying a shelf company with good credit, decide what you want to do right now.
