Getting Your Leaflet Campaign Right

Using leaflets as part of a focussed marketing campaign is a cheap and effective way of getting your message to the masses. Yet, just because such a solution is a cost-effective marketing approach, it does not mean that you should simply settle for any old leaflet and any old form of delivery, and instead it will make sense to put as much effort into getting such a simple campaign right as it will to look at maximising online or television advertising.

After all, whilst there will be plenty of cheap printing services online that will offer leaflets at a very low cost, if your marketing materials have no effect on your sales or those viewing your leaflets, then you will still be throwing money away, no matter how cheap you might have found your printing for.
Instead, such promotion should offer a great deal of extra potential revenue at a low cost and by spending a little more time focussing your leaflet campaign and finding the right printing company, you may well find that leaflets offer you the most effective way of turning your marketing budget into regular custom.
With online advertising on the increase, it is possibly the perfect time to look at physical promotion as opposed to virtual marketing. With so many ads online and so many companies using social networking to target a potential audience, most online advertising will simply become white noise. With leaflets, it may be easy to grab a reader’s attention right from the off, especially at a time when fewer leaflets may be dropping through doors as certain companies look at trying to advertise solely on the net.
Whilst this means that you may be able to stand out far more by utilising a leaflet campaign, this will only happen if you have the right campaign for your own business and your own products or services. As such, there will not be a one-size-fits-all approach and, instead, from the way you design your marketing materials to how they are delivered, you will need to ensure that every aspect of your approach is designed with your specific demographic in mind.
Firstly consider quantities. How many leaflets you have printed will be determined primarily by the number of individuals you wish to target. If you operate in a very small area, do not be lured in by low prices for tens of thousands of leaflets as this may lead to a great deal of wasted resources. Likewise, if you have a huge potential customer base, it will be vital that you print enough to target your potential client base effectively, especially since the greater the number you print, the cheaper each leaflet will be.
When it comes to design, make sure you know what appeals to your audience. Don’t use your business name as a headline as it might not mean anything to most people reading your leaflets. Instead, catch their attention with words or phrases associated to your products or services that will appeal most to your target audience.
Finally, find the right online printing. Quality and speed will be as important as cost, so make sure the company you choose can offer you the best of all worlds when it comes to producing the best possible leaflets.
