You wonder what is so great about the Lone Start State? Forbes in 2013 Include Austin, Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth and San Antonio. What do all those cities have in common? All are Texas cities. If that is not enough for you to begin considering Texas, Forbes also ranked Austin as the #1 Best City for Jobs in Texas in 2013. According to The Bureau of Labor Statistics, Austin’s unemployment rate as August 2013 was 5.5%. One of the best in the nation. So Austin is great. However do you know that since the recession “ended” officially in 2009, Texas has added as many new jobs as the rest of America combined? That is the number to make things interesting.

Austin is home for the Technology Industry in Texas, even getting cool people from California for the simple fact that California can’t keep the demand for houses and roads that make the cost of living incredibly expensive. Topped all that little fact that Austin is the second city with the highest expected growth in a five year projection – topped only by Honolulu. Austin has in the last year brought a new image of Texas allowing people to see a fresher face of what this state can offer to the national economy as well as to the world of technology, even taking for surprise more traditional cities like Seattle in the technology growth and significance.
Not interested in the hottest place in Texas, Austin, don’t worry. Dallas-area per capita income is higher than the national average too and even if doesn’t have the booming energy industry of Houston or the coolness of Austin, the fact that it has relatively higher wages push it to the top of the list. Dallas suffered some bad press when American Airlines got into financial trouble, but the reality is that American Airlines has become apparently even stronger from the problems it had in the past and is affecting positively the great area of Dallas.
If neither Dallas nor Austin are your ideal places, you have nothing to fear in a place like Texas. You can go to Houston, which growth thanks for the Energy sector has been accelerated, or you can go to other cool cities like San Antonio.
A soon as you are ready – or if you are already there and are interested in a better opportunity than what you currently have, not Only Texas provide you with incredible options.
