Gordie, Booder and Fluffy Go .300 Blackout

SigTac

We are reviewing an interim build of what is legally/technically a pistol.  The platform is AR/Stoner, caliber, .300AAC/Blackout.  We are aiming for, if you will forgive the pun, an affordable, sustainable and legal weapon capable of above 500 meter accuracy, extreme portability and devastating close combat performance.

The final build will have a CAA/Israeli mag well grip, a 12 inch FSI ultra-low profile rail and a KAK industries flash can.  We are working on this project with KAK Industries.  They are also helping us develop a “pure sniper” ultra light version and a 7.63/39 version for people who actually like shooting things.
For those who build, this is the parts outline:
A designated “pistol” lower receiver, registered as such.  Any quality upper.  A barrel, depending on caliber and need, 9 – 10.5 optimal for “blackout.”  I would use 12.5 for 5.56.  For 7.62.39, 7 inch.  (hopeless ballistics anyway).
A SigTac “arm brace.”  KAK Industries extended pistol buffer tube.  Castle nut.  End plate/swivel mount (to secure detent pin and spring that you will lose during disassembly).  I believe the inexpensive 7 inch handguard is fine (will come with barrel nut), OpticsPlanet has excellent deals.  Grip for lower receiver.  A2 flash hider or flash can.  KAK spacer pack.  Optic.  Optional iron sights.
Barrel will be the toughest.  We can cut and thread reasonably is that is required.  (We do that kind of stuff here.)
Do not put an adjustable stock on this weapon, that is illegal.  Do not place a front grip on this weapon, that is illegal.  With the KAK tube and spacers, this will work as well as any SBR (Short Barreled Rifle)
