Nowadays, the world is so complex that people often have some problems to find themselves in the surrounding reality. The technology, variety of cultures, consumerism and neverending chase after the money makes people focused on materialism and temporal goods. Considering today’s biggest threats we can distinguish few sectors that may greatly influence our reality. First are cultural differences that goes together with religious conflicts and the second is high technology that may be a blessing and a course in the same time.
Cultural war
As far as the cultural differences may be concerned as a reason of a threats, there is a clear example of such a conflict, or at least problem, in developed counties. In USA there is a problem of illegal immigrants from Latin countries. In this example the problems considers only the labor force market, whereas in the Europe the problem with Arabic immigrants is far more important. In western Europe the flow of the labor force is legal within the most of the EU countries due to Schengen agreement and that gives people the opportunity to move from one country to another. Such situation would be fine if the work was the main reason of this migration. However, nowadays we can clearly see that most of the immigrants are not interested in working abroad. Their main goal is to settle down in a developed country and use the social benefits, bring the whole family and get even more money from it. The biggest problem is that very often when there are a big number of immigrants in the same location, they do not want to integrate with others and try to make enclaves in order to set up their own laws and habits.
Technology
It is obvious that the newest technology is bringing more pros than cons to the life of the ordinary citizens, however sometimes it is used against the people. This is how the modern military weapons can be used as well as the newest medical solutions. The same goes with the Internet network. It is surely the great place to expand knowledge, communicate with the people from all over the world. On the other hand, it can be very dangerous tool for any propaganda. There are also a lot of threats that are actually targeted on the inexperienced users that unfortunately usually are the youngest. The pornographic and brutal content is mainly aimed at the minors with hope that they will use is and pass further to their school colleagues. Another very serious threat is that sexual offenders are lurking in the social media platforms and any kind of chats. Very often those people are playing the roles of the peers and are trying to get some personal data from the potential victims.
On the most of the problems that occur in nowadays world we do not have any influence, however we do a lot in order to protect the youngest. The wide education is the first principle in taking care of the kids, second should the controlling the content that is delivered to them. Combination of those two factors may the key in the rising up the aware society that will be able to distinguish good things from the bad.
