Seldom do people come across individuals that have a knack for a talent that is absolutely opposite in nature. But Steven Rindner is one personality that has been able to juggle a career as an athlete and also a business strategist. Not only that he is also a runner and has participated in almost all marathon races that were within his reach and vicinity. When he is not into marathon races, one will find him inside a corporate office sharing his views on business development and growth. He has been offering invaluable advice to corporate identities engaged in different fields like healthcare, real estate services, media, and technology.

His corporate life

Steven Rindner is presently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Scout Media Inc. With more than 20 years of experience in handling private equity, technology, marketing, and media, his main aim is to foster growth of corporate identities while he is associated with them. Before joining Scout Media, Inc, he was associated with Kastle Systems International LLC in the capacity of Executive Vice President of Sales, Corporate Development, and Marketing. His association with all the business houses has always proved to be fruitful and has yielded positive results for the organization.

He also had a short stint with the Citigroup when he served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Alliances, Citigroup, New York. He was on the rolls of AOL or America Online Inc, which is a division of the Time Warner. Here his role was as the Senior Vice President of Business Development, Programming, and Marketing. He practiced as a lawyer and was entrusted with legal responsibilities both in the private as well as the public areas. He served as Assistant United States Attorney, Washington DC. He was into corporate law at Shearman & Sterling and worked at Fried Frank. He also addressed issues related to corporate properties and products and merger and acquisitions.

As an ardent marathon fan

As an athlete, he is a different person altogether. Being result oriented, he has participated in more than 23 races and has run for over 350 miles. The best performance in marathon has been 3 hours 48 minutes and 56 seconds. He developed interest in marathon and has been participating in the same since 2006. Following are the marathon races he has participated in-

  • Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and Medtronic TC 10 Mile
  • Paris Marathon 2012
  • The San Francisco Marathon 2011
  • ING New York Marathon 2010
  • Marine Corps Marathon 2007
  • ING New York City Marathon 2006
  • Philadelphia Marathon 2008

Aside from the above, he has also participated in so called Half Marathon races that include Life Time Miami Marathon, Parks Half Marathon, MCRRC Parks Half Marathon 2011, Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Marathon, Half marathon 2012, Half Marathon & Tropical 5K.
Just as Steven Rindner uses his judicious business strategies to foster growth of the corporate identities, when it comes to Marathon racing, he has a strategy too. He uses the technique called “lace creep” when he is running a Marathon race.
