Local veterans will have the opportunity to submit their artwork in a competition during this year’s National Veterans Creative Arts Festival.
Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) in Fayetteville is accepting the entries from Jan. 12 through Feb. 20, 2015.
“We have hundreds of categories that our community’s talented Veterans can submit their artwork in for judging. We have had some amazing pieces come through our facility in the previous years, and we are confident 2015 will be no different. First place winners go on to compete at the national level,” said Dr. Mark Enderle, medical center director, in a statement.
The competition has 51 categories in the visual arts division ranging from oil painting to leather work and even pain-by-number kits. There are also 100 categories in the performing arts, including dance, music and creative writing.
