Veterans from Butler, Warren or Hamilton counties who are seeking work or looking to switch jobs could benefit from a career workshop being held Wednesday, say the event organizers.
Military Veterans Resource Center is hosting a Veterans Career Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the group’s Hamilton office. Lunch is included and the workshop is free to attend. The Hamilton center is located at 914 Ross Ave. inside Amvets Post 1983.
Career specialists will consult one-on-one with veterans attending the workshop to assist their job search and help write or revise their resumes, said Abby Reynolds, spokeswoman for Military Veterans Resource Center. The second part of the day includes mock job interviews conducted with local employers Wornick Foods and Miami University, Reynolds said.
“We want it to be a comprehensive experience for vets to cover all the essential things they need for the job search,” Reynolds said. “Any veteran job seeker can gain something from this.”
