The European Court of Justice earlier found that the inclusion of Hamas was based on factual imputations derived from the press and the Internet

BRUSSELS, January 19. /TASS/. The European Council will appeal against the European court’s ruling to exclude the Palestinian movement Hamas from the list of terrorist organizations, a council source told reporters on Monday.

The European Court of Justice in mid-December revoked the Council of the European Union decision on including the Palestinian Hamas movement into the European list of terrorist organizations.

The Luxemburg court found that the inclusion of Hamas was based “not on acts examined and confirmed in decisions of competent authorities but on factual imputations derived from the press and the Internet.”
