A free event for veterans that will feature multiple workshops and more will take place Thursday in Dearborn.
“Mission: Purpose Discovery Boot Camp for Employers and Veterans” will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Fairlane Center at 19000 Hubbard Drive.
The event provides veterans with the chance to learn how to properly transition from the field to the workforce and meet with employers, human resource professionals and small business owners, event organizers said.
Employer, recruiter and HR professional workshops include how to develop a recruitment strategy to hire veterans, veteran retention: making the connection, how to get your company veteran ready, understanding veteran tax credits and GI bill programs, and secrets to the hidden job market HR panel discussion.
