Benefit explanation, job chances for veterans at Tulare event

George Maness said Veteran’s Opportunity Day 2015 will be the biggest since the event started 15 years ago.
Maness, a Tulare veterans’ advocate, said 88 vendors, including employment agencies, local companies seeking to hire and social service organizations have already signed up for the event.
“This is the largest number of vendors we have had,” he said. “We have a good accumulation of people.”
Held annually at the Tulare Veterans’ Memorial Building, Opportunity Day provides the perfect location for former military personnel to receive information on benefits, services and schooling opportunities.
