MOSCOW, May 29. /TASS/. The defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic(DPR) warned on Friday that Kiev forces could carry out provocations with the use of chemical weapons.
The ministry’s official spokesman Eduard Basurin told reporters that “works are underway on the territory of a chlorine storage base, to the north-east of Kochetok settlement in the Kharkiv region.”

The spokesman reminded that since mid-May, the civilian employees of the base were dismissed and then the Ukrainian Armed Forces sent a task force in an effort to tighten security at the facility.
“A week ago, our intelligence saw that 20 truck tanks with a capacity of five tonnes with an unknown chemical agent arrived at the facility’s territory,” Basurin said.
Basurin also said an additional group of US military chemical experts arrived at the airport in the southern port city Mariupol on May 26.
He did not rule out that “US military experts and Kiev authorities will prepare sabotage on Ukraine’s territory with the aim of accusing the DPR leadership of crime against humanity.”
