The de Blasio administration plans to announce Tuesday that the city’s municipal identification card will now include a category to provide veterans with access to certain benefits and services.

At the same time, the city plans to open three new IDNYC enrollment centers at veteran service locations in the Bronx, Manhattan and Queens to improve accessibility.

“We’re committed to providing the best services and support to our city’s veterans, and that includes IDNYC,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement. “Now New York City’s veterans will have more reasons to apply for this card and gain access to a plethora of services designed specifically for them.
