As part of a long standing commitment to support active military personnel, veterans and their families, AT&T awarded $5,000 to The Fort Hero Veterans Barracks to complete repairs to the Bastrop facility.
The Veterans Barracks organization provides heroes in need of temporary housing and job skills training.
“Our men and women in uniform come back from their tour of duty often in need of basic things such as housing. Contributions help provide these veterans with a safe place to call home while getting their lives together and searching for employment,” stated Senator Francis Thompson.
“Fort Hero Veterans Barracks provides an invaluable service to our community.” “Support from local leaders like State Senator Francis Thompson and our business partners help to provide shelter for displaced veterans,” said Al Sanders, President of the Fort Hero Veterans Barracks organization.
