Iraqi Air Force Destroys ISIS Convoy

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Sunday the leader of al-Hashed al-Shaabi in Diyala province, Jabbar Maamouri, announced the killing of 20 ISIS gunmen in an air strike that targeted a convoy of the organization north Salah al-Din.

Maamouri said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Iraqi air force launched today a crushing blow targeting a convoy of vehicles carrying dozens of ISIS militants in the area of al-Fatha north of Salah al-Din; killing 20 of them and destroying seven vehicles carrying weapons.”

He noted, “the security forces and al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters are fighting fierce battles in al-Fatha area,” adding that “they have succeeded in overcoming many of the ISIS defensive lines.”
