The new mayor, City Commission and neighborhood councils will be sworn in Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Civic Center.
The new officials don’t take over until the first meeting in January, but are sworn in early so they’re ready to start immediately in January, according to city officials.
After the swearing in, the commission will resume normal business during the work session and the regular meeting at 7 p.m.
The agenda includes a vote on a proposed conditional use permit for a facility at 2211 5th Ave. N., which was previously used to house women recovering from addiction and their children, but is now planned to house up to 10 homeless veterans.
The proposed veterans home will be operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of North Central Montana and they are planning a ceremony at the home at 10 a.m. Wednesday, pending commission approval.
