VAMC to host free legal clinic for veterans

A free legal clinic for veterans is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 19 in the auditorium of the Alexandria VA Medical Center in Pineville.
Veterans must show proof of residence in Avoyelles, Rapides or Vernon Parish to participate and need to schedule an appointment by Tuesday, Feb. 9, by contacting the VA Veteran Justice Outreach Specialist at
318-466-4067.
The clinic is sponsored by the Alexandria VA Health Care System and Central Louisiana Pro Bono Project Inc. It will provide brief legal advice (20-30 minutes) to veterans in the areas of family law (divorce, custody and child support); probate/wills; consumer; and landlord/tenant.
