The American College of Physicians (ACP) is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States. ACP members include 141,000 internal medicine physicians (internists), related subspecialists, and medical students. Internists specialize in the prevention, detection, and treatment of illness in adults.
Currently ACP is hiring Political Action Committee (PAC) Directors as well as Classified Advertising Sales Representatives.
Once hired, a PAC Director develops and implements the overall strategic goals of ACP Services PAC, both short and long term. Develops the fundraising strategy for ACP Services PAC, in consultation with the PAC board of directors. Initiates and drafts the fundraising solicitations that go out to eligible ACP Services members (bi-monthly). Serves as the point person handling all correspondence with the PAC board of directors. Ensures that there is a battery of potential nominees to serve on the PAC board when each set of board members rotates off every year. Briefs the PAC board chair and serves as staff point person at all PAC board functions. Drafts all updates on behalf of the PAC for reports to both the PAC board of directors and the ACP Services board of directors. Organizes and attends PAC related receptions and information sessions, etc. Organizes the call for nominations for the annual PAC Distinguished Service Award and facilitates presentation of the award at ACP Services’ annual advocacy event. Attends the American College of Physician’s (ACP) annual scientific meeting and staffs the PAC booth.

Associate, Quality Improvement Programs –
Job Description: The American College of Physicians (ACP) is looking to hire a full-time Associate, Quality Improvement (QI) Programs in its Washington, DC office.  ACP, a national organization of internists with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with more than 140,000 members worldwide.
The Associate, QI Programs will manage the implementation of QI initiatives, including practice recruitment, engagement, and technical assistance, as well as live, online, and one-on-one practice support and educational interventions such as webinars, live meetings, and practice coaching calls.  This position will support the registries operation, providing support to practices, communicating with IT vendors, and assisting with the data upload and performance reporting programs.  The Associate, QI Programs, in collaboration with ACP communications and web staff, will oversee the communication of QI information on the ACP website and in the media.
Administrative Coordinator –

Job Description: The Administrative Coordinator provides support for and assists in the planning, organization, coordination, and implementation of the Herbert S. Waxman Clinical Skills Center (CSC), Waxman Scholars Program, and other hands-on learning activities. This position also provides administrative support as assigned for Self-Assessment and Educational Programs, including IM Essentials, the IM-ITE, and MKSAP, as well as for other educational programs/activities within the Medical Education Division.
