Cemetery seeks donations for veterans memorial

As Green Hill Cemetery completes the first two phases of its new veterans memorial, the organization is now reaching out to the community for help in completing the third phase of the project.
The cemetery’s goal is to raise $35,000 for the memorial, which is located just off South Potomac Street near the cemetery office, to purchase and install four 5-by-9-foot granite markers that will be etched with emblems from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Donations will also go to paving a parking area near the memorial.
