Carpenter recognized for supporting veterans

A definition of an unsung hero describes someone who usually refrains from claiming too much in return for his/her efforts.
Carl Carpenter, City of Danville Superintendent of Solid Waste and Central Vehicle Maintenance, is one of those persons who doesn’t want focus on himself, but is proud of the city being an Above and Beyond Award winner and friendly to hiring military veterans.
Carpenter was a suggested local unsung hero by Mayor Scott Eisenhauer and Danville Public Works Director Doug Ahrens when asked by the Commercial-News.
