It’s been about 40 years since Domingo Martinez served as an infantryman near the Demilitarized Zone in Korea during the Vietnam war era, but he’s still dealing with the repercussions.
The veteran has lived with depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder much of his life.
But Saturday an open house for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Mental Wellness Campaign at VFW Post Granite Post 428 in St. Cloud connected him with resources to help him.
“I’m really proud of the infantry part, but it’s caused me a lot of mental anguish,” Martinez said.
