MSAG works closely with cybersecurity. Homeland Security Presidential Directive 7 established a national policy for federal agencies to identify and prioritize critical infrastructure and to protect them from terrorist attacks.
MSAG has expanded their cyber security technical focus to help their clients. They are currently working with the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration performing cyberspace, intrusion detection and prevention studies.
MSAG is performing research in several areas including network security, monitoring, auditing, intrusion detection and intrusion prevention. They are working to emphasize methods of identifying system vulnerabilities, threats and prevent attacks.
