Occupations in the medical field dominated a list of 55 jobs in Alabama that pay more than $100,000, but many of those require advanced degrees and years of preparation work.
That’s not the only way to earn a living in Alabama. Listed below are 40 high demand occupations in the state that don’t require a four-year degree, along with the average salary each job pays in Alabama.
The jobs on this list vary widely across different fields, but they all have two things in common: You can do them with an associate’s degree or less, and they’re projected to grow by at least 10 percent or by 1,000 total jobs by 2024. We’ve grouped them here into categories such as manufacturing, construction, health care, office jobs, and jobs in the food/restaurant industry.
