Taking the “Truck Gun” to a New Level

By Gordon Duff and Mike Chester

This is the final build for the 10.5 inch Sigtac pistol.  We added a low profile 12 inch rail to a 10.5 inch barrel, made up the slack with a KAK Industries “peek-a-boo” flash can installation.  We upgraded sights to Troy Industry.  We have an Izraylie front grip, tightened down the castle nut, pounded the SigTac on and are ready to stick this on the gun rack of our Dodge Power Wagon.

Our general purpose is to design a weapon “sexy enough” to appeal to special operations units we work with.  These have to be affordable and the hard cost on this project is half the discounted retail for such thing with far higher quality and reliability.  We had thought about a piston for this and, in the end, have seen as many problems there as solutions.

This, with a hundred round drum, will be a bear to carry but a great CQB for someone already wearing 30 pounds of body armor.  This is easily adaptable to subsonic rounds, of course.  The buffer should work well.

Placing a silencer on this takes under one minute with an excellent appearance.

Looking at an AR10 for next project.  Anyone who knows about Aero Precision for upper and lower, let us know.
