James Daniel Campbell  
JAMES DANIEL "J.D." CAMPBELL
1952-2009
James Campbell, age 56 of Pensacola, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 23, 2008 from a local hospital. J.D. was a member of The Church of Christ. He was Chief Information Officer at Corry Field. J.D. was a retired Master Gunnery Sgt. with the United States Marine Corps, a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, Desert Storm, and Desert Shield and retired after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sharon Campbell; two daughters, Amy Lee Saunders, and Kari Ann Ollila (Scott); two sons, Jason Allen Campbell (Yvonne) and Daniel Keith Campbell (Terrie); 7 grandchildren, Wyatt, Joseph, Shane, Mackenzie, Kaitlynn, Jared & Natalie; sister, Elizabeth Melton (Bobby); brother, Karl Campbell (Recia); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Corry Station Chapel with Lt. Edward H. Erwin, Chaplain, USN officiating.  Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy is directing.

SPRING LAKE – Edwin Lynch Matthews, 54, of Spring Lake, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. He was an Army and N.C. National Guard veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Services: Funeral, 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Lighthouse Christian Church. Visitation, 7 to 9 tonight at Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake; and noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at the church. Survived by: Wife, Cheryl; sons, Trevor and Trey; daughter, Hope Onesti; father, Marvin; and a grandson.

David R. Opinker  
DAVID R. OPINKER FORMERLY OF HAMMOND, IN
David R. Opinker, age 45, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Sun Rise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his parents: Ronald and Patricia Opinker of Hammond; two children: Erica and Dylan Opinker of Poplar Grove, IL; one grandson, Santino Opinker; two brothers: Michael Opinker of Hammond and Timothy (Janet) Opinker of Griffith; two sisters: Susan (Dan) Wojcik of Arlington, TX and Debbie (Mike) Rucinski of Kenosha, WI; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kotvasz; and paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. G.J. Majoros and Nick Opinker. A memorial service to celebrate the life of David Opinker will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hammond (Hessville), IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home. Cremation took place prior to the service in Las Vegas, NV. David was a lifetime resident of the Hessville section of Hammond before moving to Las Vegas 15 years ago. He was a 1981 graduate of Morton High School. Dave was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country for eight years in Desert Storm. He loved to fish and was an avid Cubs fan and loved baseball. Thomas J. Sherlock  
BRAINTREE Thomas J. Sherlock, 44 years of age, passed away unexpectedly, at his home, Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. He was born at Saint Margaret’s Hospital in Dorchester, resided in Braintree for most of his life and was a graduate of Braintree High School. He was a communicant of the Church of Saint Thomas More of Braintree. He was an analyst in the field of finance. He was a decorated U.S. Army Veteran, who served in the Gulf War I, Desert Storm and at Somalia. He had also served at Haiti and in Germany. He received the U.S. Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, The Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze service stars and the Non-Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon. He served from 1989 to 1995. Tom is survived by his parents, Thomas P. Sherlock and Patricia (Doyle) Sherlock of Braintree; sister, Deborah Ann Geagan married to Joseph Geagan of Braintree; three brothers, Steven Sherlock of Quincy, Scott E. Sherlock married to Stacy Sherlock of Braintree and Kevin Sherlock of Braintree. He was the brother of the late Linda Montgomery. Tom is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree, Monday, March 2, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at the Church of Saint Thomas More, Elm Street and Hawthorn Road, Braintree, at 10 a.m. The Rev. James McCarthy will officiate. Visiting hours will be Sunday, from 3-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne, with military honors. Charles Martin Beaver  
ROCKWELL – Charles Martin Beaver, 61, of 11180 Old Concord Road, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 2, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Mount Mitchell United Methodist Church in Kannapolis, with the Rev. Abraham Kim officiating. Burial will be noon at the National cemetery in Salisbury. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 1, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home. Mr. Beaver was born on May 4, 1947, in Concord, to Charles Ray Beaver and Dorothy Lee McIntyre Beaver. He served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and in the N.C. Army National Guard. He fought in the Vietnam War and in Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of American Legion Post 51, DAV Chapter 27, and was a life member of the VFW Post 6480 in Concord. He was also a member of Mount Mitchell United Methodist Church. He was employed by Terminal Trucking of Concord for 25 years and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, camping and beach trips. In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Ruby "Pat" Clark Beaver of Rockwell; sons, Marty Beaver of Concord and Chris Beaver of Rock Hill, S.C.; daughters, Jacquie Beaver Zirkle and husband, Dale, of Mint Hill and Gina Ritchie Pell and husband, Michael, of China Grove; brother, Michael Beaver and wife, Tinker, of Concord; sisters, Paula Kee and husband, Eddie, of Concord and Sheree Martin and husband, Bill, of Winter Haven, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and Chance. Grady E. Vaughn  
 VAUGHN, CHIEF PETTY OFFICER (RETIRED) GRADY E. – age 57 of Seymour, TN passed away suddenly Saturday, February 21, 2009. He was born July 4, 1951 in Chapel Hill, TN. Chief Vaughn retired from the U.S. Navy in 1996, after serving over 21 years. He was a veteran of both Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Chief Vaughn was highly decorated receiving numerous medals and awards. After retirement, he managed 2 stores here, then went on to become a truck driver for Advanced Auto Parts, up to the present time. Grady was known as a very strong proud and private person. A man of few words but when he spoke, he always had something important to say. Grady was a loving and devoted family man. He was willing and did sacrifice everything and anything for his family. He is preceded in death by sister, Shirley Corkery of Ill; and father Grady L. Vaughn of TN. Grady is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Dorothea (Dottie) Vaughn; 5 loving daughters: Christina L. Vaughn-Tate and very special son-in-law, Eric Tate of Seymour, Christal D Vaughn of Seymour, Tamra Vaughn-Wilson of Seymour, Angela Vaughn-Long of Seymour, Sheri L Vaughn-Lorraine and husband Bob of Maine; 4 grandchildren, Caden Reagan of Seymour, Kasey Long of Bean Station, Cody Gillis Jr. and Samantha Gillis of Maine; mother, Verda Vaughn of Seymour; father and mother-in-law, Francis Eunson and Dorothy Kimball of Maine; sisters, Bonnie Gzreiak and husband Tony of Michigan, Rose George and husband Carroll of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister-in-law, AlegraSourus and husband Jim; brother-in-law, Albert Eunson and wife Joann Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews. Allen Cunningham  
CUNNINGHAM Allen Cunningham – Age 44. A native of Mobile and a resident of Satsuma, AL died on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at a local hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He is survived by one daughter, Caitlin Cunningham of Santa Cruz, CA; parents, Bill and Dianne Cunningham of Satsuma, AL; sister, Kim (Mark) Parker of Jackson, TN; brother, Scott (Jennifer) Cunningham of Satsuma, AL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bishop Larry Darnell Manning Sr.  
Bishop Larry Darnell Manning Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009. He was born on Jan. 22, 1956, the fourth child of Louise Manning and the late Tommy Manning. He grew up in Brooks County, Ga.Upon graduating from Brooks County High School in 1974, Bishop Manning entered the U.S. Air Force. He served his country in Operation Desert Storm before retiring in 1995, after 21 years of service.He married his high school sweetheart, Angela Stokes, in 1977 and to this union three children were born. Bishop Manning and his family settled in Valdosta where he was called into the ministry. Together with Angela, they founded New Life Ministries in 1991 with 50 members and today because of his awesome leadership; New Life has become the largest African American church in Valdosta.Bishop Manning has touched many lives by his honesty, integrity and genuine love for people. Many souls have been saved and numerous lives have been changed by his powerful ministry.Bishop Manning earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Applied Science degree, a Master of Ministry degree, and a Doctor of Theological Studies degree from Bethany Bible College and Theological Seminary of Dothan, Ala.Bishop Manning leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Dr. Angela Stokes Manning; three children, Vashti (Anthony) Fort Leavenworth, Kan., Darnella, Valdosta, and Larry Jr., Waycross; five grandchildren, Abrien, Alaina, Shamarii, Aniyah and Alijah; his mother, Louise Manning, Valdosta; six brothers, Tommy (Dorothy), Leesburg, Fla., James and Eddie, Quitman, Samuel (Monica), Atlanta, Jerry (Cora), Kileen, Texas, Michael, Valdosta; five sisters, Mary and Betty (Julius), Valdosta, Virginia, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sylvia and Janice, Quitman; one half brother, Michael Gosier, Dixie; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, loving in-laws, the entire New Life Church family, friends and community.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at New Life Ministries Church, located at 5651 Inner Perimeter Road, Valdosta. Michael John "Mike" Dobry  
Michael John ‘Mike’ DobryMichael John Dobry, 64, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, February19, 2009 at Reynolds Army Hospital in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was bornFebruary 17,1945 to Leon and Marceiia (Voegelie) Dobry in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.He was a graduate of Anadarko High School in he class of 1963 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.He was united in marriage to Kathy Beaver in 1974 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country 36 dedicated years in the Army National Guard. He served in Desert Storm and Viet Nam and received several Badges and Ribbons. He had many wonderful co-workers and friends, who adored him as well. After retiring from the Military he wascurrently working at the Glass Shop in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He took pride in everything he did and believed in a hard days work. He enjoyed bowling and was on several different bowling leagues. His family was the most important part of his life, he was very proud of his children and grandchildren as well as his brothers and sisters. Heloved celebrating everybody’s birthdays. Robert W. Hanby 
Robert W. Hanby of Killingworth, CT formerly of Millville, NJ on Friday, February 20, 2009. Father of Robert Barnes and Nicole Barnes both of Millville, NJ. Son of Barbara A. Hollister of Guilford, CT and William M. Hanby of Millville, NJ. Brother of Marlene Rogers of Guilford, CT, Keith Hanby of TN, Kenneth Hanby of Millville, NJ and Steven Hanby of Stow Creek, NJ. Also survived by his friends in Millville, Sal Oswicky, Ralph and Russell. A proud Navy veteran Robert served during the Gulf War aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). He was past commander of the American Legion Post # 82, a member of the VFW Post # 2169 and a member of the Order of the Elks all in Millville, NJ. He had been employed with US Postal Service for over 20 years and was an avid fisherman.

John J. Rozamus
NASHUA — John J. Rozamus, 49, formerly of Manchester, died Feb. 15, 2009, at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. He was born in Manchester on Sept. 9, 1959, to John G. and Ann M. (Ahlquist) Rozamus. He was a 1978 graduate of Manchester Memorial High School. He was a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and attained the rank of staff sergeant. During that time, he served in the Persian Gulf War. His unit was the first to use unmanned aerial vehicles.Mr. Rozamus also served as a Marine recruiter for the state of Massachusetts. Most recently, he was employed in commercial construction for Harbor Homes. He was an avid reader and enjoyed the simple things life had to offer.Family includes his wife, Shawn R. Rozamus of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters Jeanne Conroy of Phillips, Maine, Roberta O’Shaughnessy of Weare, Patricia Austin of Goffstown, Jo-Ann Beauchemin and Kathleen Poulin, both of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Graveside services followed by military honors are Monday at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, 765 Brown Ave., Manchester. Pastor Francisco Victa of Calvary Christian Center East, Merrimack, will officiate. Donald "Donnie" King  
Attica – Donald "Donnie" R. King, 54, Attica, died at his residence on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Donald was born in Stearns, Ky., on February 5, 1955. He was the son of the late Lawrence G. King, Sr. and Venia B. Williams King Gilreath. He was raised in Stearns, graduating from McCreary County High School. He had formerly lived in Covington, Ky., before moving to Attica in 1944. Donald was presently working at the Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica. Donald was a veteran of the Desert Storm War, serving in the U.S. Army. At the time of his honorable discharge, he had obtained the rank of Specialist 5th Class. He was a life member of the VFW Post #3318 of Attica. He enjoyed woodworking and watching movies. He especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
On Nov. 20, 1944, Donald married Mildred H. Marshall in Covington. She survives.
Also surviving is his daughter, Jessica, Covington, Ky.; a step daughter, Amber Tyler, Attica; two brothers, Jim (Marsha) King, Berea, Ky.; Lawrence (Margaret) King, Jr., Lafayette; four sisters, Gloria (Bobby) Peak, Stearns, Ky.; Dusty (Bob) Dunigan, Erlanger, Ky.; Janice (Terry) Cox, Knoxville, Tenn.; Connie (Kenneth) Blaker, Oneida, Tenn.; a granddaughter and two step grandchildren, Alexzander Payne and Colton Knowles. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wayne King. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, Feb. 10th from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Jordan officiating. Burial with military gravesite services will be held in the Independence Cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Heart Association.

Michael D. Lowery, 44, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away February 20, 2009 at Centerpoint Hospital. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Mike was born Oct. 19, 1964 in Portsmouth, VA, and was a Turner High School Graduate. He had lived in Grain Valley for the last 6 years. Michael was a retired Air Force Veteran serving in Desert Storm and Iraq. He was currently working for the US Postal Service. Michael had attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. Dale C. Reynolds  
REYNOLDS-Dale C., age 46, Omaha. Preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Beverly Reynolds. Survived by sister, Linda Hintze; brother, Steve (Tammy) Reynolds; nieces, Natlie and Alexis Reynolds; nephews. Nolan Reynolds, Brian and Eric Stratman.
Dale was a humble and gentle soul that never spoke poorly of anyone. He proudly served our country in Desert Storm with the Army 82nd Airborne.
He will be dearly missed until we meet again.
