TIME TO DEFINE ISSUES, EVEN IF THEY ARE RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL
PSYCHIATRIC AND JUST A BIT PERSONAL

For years, Americans have beeN bombarded with information, pretty much all of it either totally false or phantasmagorical, all designed to get people to buy thing they didn’t need or support immoral ideas and unsound principles.
Over that time, slowly for some, most came to view lies as lies while others had become addicted to the buzz that hate, sarcasm and paranoid fantasy can give a life devoid of worth or purpose. There are still enough of these nutcases around to keep a skeleton force going at the lie factories on the east coast that falsify statistics or try to sneak stories into mainstream news but never seem to get anywhere except at Fox and CNN.
Poor Rudi Guliani, phony hero of 9/11 and, as a “lawyer” allowed to violate embargo’s, has even had to let most of his staff go. Dictators and war criminals don’t pay like they used to. I think of Guliani stealing credit from the dead fire and police, killed during 9/11 and Glen Beck ranting about how sick he is of hearing about the suffering of their families. What is suffering when there is money to be made telling lies.
THEY COME ONTO YOUR TV, THEY CARRY BIBLES, BUT, BELIEVE ME, THEIR ONLY PRAYER IS THAT THERE IS NO GOD AND NO JUDGEMENT DAY
The ignorant and angry who hate government aren’t stupid for hating government, they are stupid for believing arrogant thieves and cowards. I see this as a spiritual problem. If there is a G-d, he/she/it can’t want people to be dishonest and cowardly.
However, religion, like politics, seems to be led around by people who don’t want to work and who love cheating and getting away with it. These are, too often, people who seek out the weak, the frightened or the evil. They enlist the evil and exploit the weakness and fear. Visit any prison. Photos of naked children are the typical bookmark in any bible. If you don’t believe this, do some checking.
Over the last 24 hours, I have been bombarded with emails from across the US and around the world. It seems Chuck Norris and Glen Beck are the new face for, not only America, for the world, replacing Karl Rove and Dick Cheney as representatives of everything wrong with the human soul.
IF YOU THINK “OTHER PEOPLE” CAUSED ALL OUT PROBLEMS, CHANCES ARE YOU ARE NUTS
We have always had phonies and blowhards like this around and we always will. These two phony patriots, both uneducated, untested in battle and unrepentant professional liars and self promoters are like hundreds of others who have stained statehoues, our national capital, pulpits and revival tents across America for 200 years.
These are the folks who thought the Army at Valley Forge was led by a fool and that backing the great British Empire was loyalty, especially when it also was warm, safe and profitable. In the 30s they went both ways. When Moscow sent out the checks, they were Communists. When Hitler and his Wall Street allies paid the bills, they were Jew haters and anti-union.
ONCE THEY THREW CHRISTIANS TO THE LIONS, NOW IT IS THE OTHER WAY AROUND
We have simply replaced carnival barkers, faith healers and snake oil salesmen with a failed disk jockey and an “infomercial” star. No qualifications are needed, none preferred. No intelligence, no character, no ability at all other than to rant like Hitler or Mussolini about how bad things are and who is to blame.
Its just that their timing is bad. The last group of liars and cheats wore out all their material, “God and Country”…”Family Values”….”Global War on Terror”…”Abortion Murders Babies”….”Homosexuals are the Spawn of Satan”
Their attack on “liberals” for advocating that intelligent and qualified people answer to law and decency won’t get much traction either.
Rick is correct, this is a spiritual issue. People are supposedly born with a G-d given knowledge of right and wrong, good and evil. Some, some we know only too well, psychiatrists call them sociopaths, psychopaths and such, have the “flexibility” to see right and profit or safety as one even though it may be steeped in evil or be cowardly and traitorous.
PUNDITS: “BLAME THERAPY” AS TREATMENT FOR LACK OF FAITH
If Bill O’Reilly had interviewed Caligula, Nero or Attila the Hun, his “softball” questions would have made them look like Sunday school teachers.
For 9 years, Hitler was the most respected leader in the world with a guy named Josef Goebbels acting as his personal “Karl Rove.” When Bush “the lesser” showed up onboard an aircraft carrier under the sign, Mission Accomplished, he was cheered as a hero. Soon afterward he was the most hated man in America and the world and is now hiding out, hoping people forget him.
The moral question Rick was asking regards our “information age.” Our kids in school are told the internet is not an acceptable source for their reports. Anyone, hiding behind a screen name say anything, claim anything, all driven by secrecy.
I know and talk to Rick and consider him a friend. We agree on most areas of politics and even some solutions and enjoy fighting over the areas where we don’t agree. Some of his ideas are quite “unsound” but I trust him as a person. There are some others I can’t say the same of.
PHONY NEWS: WAR CRIMES AS A SPECTATOR SPORT
Too many Americans love to listen to things that make them feel good and that tell them how smart they are. It isn’t just the rest of the world that thinks many Americans are ignorant to, perhaps to the point of being dangerous. Other Americans, some quite bad people, and we certainly have our share as a world torn apart by our ignorance will attest to, laugh at their followers/audiences/congregations/constituents as “rubes” to be exploited.
News media now regularly accepts articles from paid lobbyists, articles known to be, not only slanted but outright lies, and does so unquestioningly. Anyone knowing this, as everyone does, who still seeks out lies for solace is flawed. The internet is a magnet to this type of deviant.
“HIGHER EDUCATION”…HIGHER THAN WHAT?
Universities will only publish and teach what the party in power that plans to fund that new football stadium wants them to. When discredited McCartyite extremists attacked universities as “revisionist” and “liberal” they had no idea how successful their irresponsible attacks would be over the decades. With a populace that pays attention for little more than 5 minutes at a time, the entire concept of higher education is silly.
The French have the solution. Give your children quality classical educations and find them jobs sweeping the streets. Not only are the streets and gutters spotless but the level of banter on politics and philosophy is fascinating.
MYTHOGRAPHY: CARVING A BETTER MAN OUT OF A ROTTEN BANANA
A new form of lying called “mythography” can make anyone, any thief, convict or liar into a national hero with “no questions asked” as long as the right palms are greased. Bush “the greater” had a long history of service and his son, Bush “the lesser” had a history of failure, untreated addictions and laziness. Frankly, he has no record of ever having held a job.
Which one was “elected” twice? I rest my case.
