The Black Hills Veterans Writing Group recently started a Web Site at www.battlestory.org to encourage military veterans in this area to share their wartime stories about WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Cold War.

The group began as a memoir-writing workshop at the Rapid City Public Library in 2005 and continues to work to preserve the testimony of Black Hills military veterans.

The veterans assist each other with writing and story-telling tasks at their monthly meetings on the second Saturday of each month at Rapid City Public Library.

More information can be found on the Web site or by contacting the group at veterans@battlestory.org.
