Could this situation get any more Byzantine? This entire western Asian war effort would make Machiavelli green with envy. Virtually everybody is lying, manipulating, back stabbing and undermining everybody else that is involved in this "War on Terror". And that goes for the allies and does not even take into account the enemies in this situation! What in the hell is the mission over there? I don’t think anybody knows. The principals certainly cannot agree. Americans are dying for this?
