In this morning’s New York Times there is an article concerning Vice President Biden’s trip to the Georgian Republic and his comments on Afghanistan. The article is here. I have a hard time seeing the mission in Afghanistan , or Iraq for that matter. What is the mission? What are these young people sacrificing life and limb for? Exactly what? I cannot see it.
In the same paper this morning is an article on the disclosure of the memoirs of a Soviet Spy who was a British peer and the art curator for the Queen. The article is here.
In today’s Washinton Post there is an article outlining U.S. negotiations with insurgent groups in Iraq. The article is here. There is another article in the Post outlining the American belief that a missile strike into Pakistan earlier in the year killed Bin Laden’s oldest son. The article is here.
