Celebrating Victory

Why would anyone want to celebrate the bombing of Hiroshima?  There are some strange people here in the USA.   War is some thing every person in the world should experience, and then there would be no more wars.  I am proud of this bombing, as I am of my time the U.S Marine Corps.  The conflict of I hate what I did, to the mind boggling accepting the pride of what I did it for cannot be accepted in anyone’s mind.

You the Innocent civilians that bask in the luxury of what our U.S. Military do for your life become the masters of these returning heroes lives with the distorting of reality.  I have been to Hiroshima and even dated a girl who’s family lived there today, when I was stationed at USMC Iwakuni.  The hatred and contempt to this day that these people feel of us is unreal.  These are the people that started the war.       

These are the people that killed many innocent Americans with the bombing of Hawaii.  Celebrate the freedom that the U.S. Military gave you in response to such a brutal and careless loss of American Lives.  

This is what happens.  Our children go off to war and come home to the land that we love and dreamed of.  We step of the plane to family and friends that welcome us home with open arms.  Some one from the crowd may spit on us and call us a baby killer but we are too proud to be home finally and alive.  The distorted innuendos of the melee of events reported by the news of where you have been leads to others asking questions inferring of guilt.  

The innocent general comment of a bartender or anyone about the harm our military imposes on others finds a place in your mind.  People in public refer to our military as conquers or invaders.  We learn of our politicians cutting funds for Veterans care because it is an off election year.  Suddenly after a while back, flash backs to your first kill with a bayonet or the friend (other Marine) in your Squad you left to die because the mission came first.  

The distorted living conditions or the inhuman food that you lived on engulfs your mind to the point you are there again.  The title Veteran after your name becomes a token and the public sees you as a loser because you no longer have the qualities of that innocent, promising child that left.  Family and friends distance themselves because your personality has become harsh and your emotions deleted.  Politicians give Billions to the nation that killed you while these American politicians cut funding for the returning Veterans medical.  Does this happen?

Some short timers over seas realize the uncivilized actions they committed, as society back in the U.S. could never accept, so they commit suicide.  Others return because we dreamed of this day for eternity only to learn that we came home to a place that we do not belong.  Others with medical conditions some not apparent for years will be neglected or overshadow because politicians have more important pet projects to waste tax dollars on.  

The nation that our military gave so much for would rather celebrate, praise the people of those countries rather than help the children that gave so much that can only accept the reality of home by jumping off a cliff. Peace comes from knowledge and understanding not by neglecting the Veteran to celebrate the aggressor.  Censor A veterans opinion is Contemptable.
