GULF WAR VETERANS THE TRUTH IS THERE! NOW Accountability and Leadership will be Judged

 TRUTH – 12th Preventative Medical Team- ODS

The possession, probable use of,  use of, and deliberate destruction of Iraq stockpiles VX, sarin, cyclo sarin, tabun, soman , multiple seven , and novachuks that were provided by the U.S., England, Germany, and the Soviet Union to Iraq throughout the 1980’s  was well known during ODS and the primary reason why Bauer’s Raiders wre formed and the ARCENT Medical Management of Chemical and Biological casualties course was taught. 

DOD officials, Colonel Pearlman, Colonel Kennison, Colonel Keeler,  Colonel Merryman, LTC Dunn, and LTC Wade under orders from LTG Blanck  decided to disregard all already known diagnosis of acute and primarily sub clinical exposures to these nerve agents at that time because Iraq got them from us, used them on us and our deliberate destruction of Iraq’s stockpile that was the chosen course of action (December 10, 1990) to limit use and consequential acute exposures. FM 8-285 and other directives provided specific guidance- orders for diagnosis of exposures and treatment for exposures.

     Assessment,diagnosis, and treatment protocols were taught as part of the "ARCENT Medical Management of Chemical and Biological casualties course", NBC refresher course, and combat lifesaver course. Because of treatment limitations  the primary method of limiting effects was by mandating use of PB tablets and distribution of the MARK I antidote kit even while knowing based on the Skull Valley incident that these were in reality ineffective and that PB had very serious adverse effects. 

Since DOD and VA oficials could never acknowledge how and why the exposures occcurred denials have been the choice with delay in testing using comfirmed techniques going back for years before Desert Storm.  LTC Dunn And LTC Wade were sent to the Gulf prior to initiation of the air war to limit knowledge of and confirmation of exposures that began as we started blowing up Iraq’s chemical munitions  during the fall of 1990.
 
So here we are 19 years later with ODS and now OIF warriors still being exposed and affected while DOD and VA deny any exposures and consequent correlation between exposures and documented health effects in hundreds of thousands of veterans.  Sadly all efects on noncombatants- civilians are ignored.
